A lady who constructed a tunnel inside the earth

Usually a train goes on the surface of the earth.   

But in some places, a train goes under 

the surface of the earth.

Using giant machines, under the surface of the earth, the earth is 
deeply curved for kilometers. A tube like long and wide hole is 
made inside the earth. This tube like long structure is called 
a tunnel. After constructing a tunnel, trains can easily enter and 
travel inside it.

Recently in Bangalore, India, Karnataka government has taken a 
prestigious underground metro project worth hundreds of crores of 
rupees. Wearing helmets and gloves, hundreds of male laborers 
and some civil engineers were working there. Giant machines were 
digging the earth. Loud noises and smoke like dust were disturbing 
the environment.

In that hot environment, a 25 year old lady was walking and observing 
the work. She heard someone saying "Probably she is a visitor who 
came here to see this mega work". But they did not know she was

 a specialized tunnel engineer who can construct and create tunnels 
inside the earth. She was Annie Sinha Roy. After successfully 
completing a tunnel construction in Qatar, she was given an extremely 
tough assignment in Bangalore.

Using a heavy tunnel boring machine, Annie dug a deep underground               
tunnel. Though she was a lady, she worked single handedly, day and 
night inside the earth for several months. She worked with ground 
breaking machines. At the end, successfully, she created a 4 kilometer 
long underground tunnel in banglore.

Though that mega project has a male dominated environment, Annie 
played an extremely important role in constructing a very big tunnel. 
She is the first tunnel engineer in India. Courage, dedication and

 working continuously are her qualities.
