Richard is a handsome young man. His father joined a hospital due
to his illness. To see his father, Richard came from a long distant city.
He entered the multi specialty hospital. The hospital was busy. Many
people were coming and going.

He went to the reception and asked a man "yesterday my father
joined this hospital with some stomach pain. I want to meet him.
Can you show me his room?"

The receptionist said "Our nurse will show you your father's room".
He called a female nurse and told the matter to that nurse.

The nurse told Richard "Follow me". They stepped into an elevator
and reached seventh floor. They crossed many rooms. Richard was
following the female nurse. Finally she opened the door of a room.
She said " For many days, nobody has come to the hospital to see
your father. He has been totally alone." Then she left.

Richard went to the bed. An old man was sleeping on the bed.
Richard sat beside the bed. The old man opened his eyes. Richard
kept his hand on the old man's hand. The old man felt happy. They
talked slowly for an hour. The eyes of old man became wet. He
requested Richard to stay there more and more time. Richard agreed
and stayed there for the whole night. The next mornring, the old man's
condition became serious. Richard ran to the nurse and brought her.
The nurse took the hand of the old man and checked his pulse.
Then she said "Im sorry. He is dead".

Then the Nurse kept her hand on Richard's shoulder and tried to
console him. Then Richard asked the nurse "Who is this old man?"

The nurse shocked and said "I thought he was your father".

Richard said "No. He is not my father. I never saw him in my life".

The nurse asked "Then why did not you tell me this matter,
when I brought you here, last night".

Richard continued " last night, I thought you would bring me to my
father's room. But, by mistake, you brought me to this room and told
me about this old man's loneliness. I understood he was in his last
moments. I understood he was waiting for his son. Then I decided to
be his son in his last moments. So I spent the whole night with him."
